Film analysis essay
Film Analysis Introduction I have been asked to analyse a range of film clips, or short films, from different genres in preparation for a series of programmes on fictional film genres. My critical analysis of the purpose, format, narrative structure, visual storytelling, genre and audience of my chosen films, and genres, will be used by the production team for a new series to inform the content of one or more of their programmes. I have been asked to present the outcomes of my analysis to the production team. I would like to begin with fiction film genre and what fiction films are. Fictional films are the most common type of film genre of them all and they tell a narrative. There are many different formats of fictional films such as action, horror, fantasy, drama, crime and many more. Film evidence
This is evidence of me filming using a stabilizer. This helps to keep all the film in a nice flow and have no jumpy shots because someone couldn't hold the camera still. This piece of equipment takes away this element and allows everything to be filmed consistently throughout. This is me attaching a small light to the stabilizer and this allows light to be added to the shot/scene which will add a different vibe/atmosphere in the shot. This is really useful as I don't need to hold it with my hands and stays on top of the stabilizer shining down away from the camera. This is me using the microphone which attaches just like the light on top of the stabilizer.
