  EVALUATION - Callum   What is Pre-production?   Pre-production is all the planning that goes on before cameras start rolling. This includes things like all the logistics ( e.g. call sheets and shot lists ) , Finance (e.g., finance sources and budget spreadsheets) and creative ( e.g. script and storyboards ). Pre-production is crucial before casting any type of film as this stage allows you to organize everything you need before rolling the cameras. It also allows everyone associated with the film to gain understanding of what is needed pre film. Pre-production is also the most effective way of informing everyone associated with the film what is needed from them specifically in their roles during this stage.   To effectively manage a short film/film, the pre-production information given out to the crew needs to be easily understood so that everyone knows their specific roles on set. Film evidence

  This is evidence of me filming using a stabilizer. This helps to keep all the film in a nice flow and have no jumpy shots because someone couldn't hold the camera still. This piece of equipment takes away this element and allows everything to be filmed consistently throughout.                                            This is me attaching a small light to the stabilizer and this allows light to be added to the shot/scene which will add a different vibe/atmosphere in the shot. This is really useful as I don't need to hold it with my hands and stays on top of the stabilizer shining down away from the camera.  This is me using the microphone which attaches just like the light on top of the stabilizer. This is easy to use and allows noises and sounds to be picked up and heard better than just through the camera. However one limiting factor would be this cannot be a...

  Pre-production Report     Pre-production in media is all the things that come before creating the end goal, whether that be a film /short film or a general project. This stage includes things such as a Location Permissions, Production log, Call sheets , Source of finance and so on. The overall aim in pre-production is for everyone to gain an understanding of what is needed from them before filming starts. Pre-production also creates a vision for you to know what is going to h appen and when things are going to take place e.g. first filming: where and when you will be filming.   Finance:   Finance and budgeting are crucial part s of pre-production. You have to identify an allocated budget to set and how you are going to fund this budget. One way of funding is crowd funding.
